PDF report

To create a PDF report, follow the first 4 steps as explained in creating a new template.

In the popup, select the report to be created.

Blank: Start with an empty template.

Table report: Select the report data member and data fields that will supply data to the report.

Vertical report: Select the report data member and data fields that will supply data to the report.

Cross-tab report: Drop fields onto the cross-tab areas to define the report's layout, specify the report page settings and choose the preferred color scheme.

Template: Select from the proposed templates and map the fields of the table to the fields on the template.

When the wizard is completed, the pdf can be built. For more information, see Report designer.

The fields of the main table and the target tables (including header fields) are listed in the Field list section on the right.

The Details band section is the section that will repeat the content for each of the selected records in the main window of BioloMICS.This means if 3 records were selected in the main window, then the detail band will be printed 3 times.

To change the margins in the report such as the height of the header and the footer, see Adapt margins in report.

In the field list select the wanted field and drag it to the report.

Extra tools (such as line and page info) are available on the left, for details see Toolbox.

To see a preview of the report, click on the Preview button at the top-right. See also Preview report.

For each item on the report, extra label tasks options are available when selecting the item and clicking on the icon at the top right.

It is possible to concatenate a given value with a static text by using a calculated field. For example to concatenate the temperature with "°C".

Click on the Save button and enter a meaningful name to save the report template.
