Header fields

 
Movie BioloMICS 11 Edit data in different field types, from start. Movie also applies to BioloMICS version 12.
 
 
Each BioloMICS record contains a number of fields that are always present and needed for the software to operate properly. The following fields are always present:
 
Header fields

Id

1. Id
Unique number of the selected record in the database. This number cannot be changed by the user and is automatically generated by the software.

Name

2. Name
Unique identifier for the user of the selected record in the database.
Note: The title of the Name field can be changed by an administrator in the table settings (in this example it is changed to Strain number).

Creation date

3. Creation date
Date when the record was created. This value cannot be changed by the user and is automatically generated by the software.

Last change date

4. Last change date
Date and time when the last change was made to any value in the current selected record. This value cannot be changed by the user and is automatically generated by the software.

Owner

5. Owner
Information of the person who created the record. This value can be changed manually if needed.

Last change user

6. Last change user
Information of the person that last changed the record.
 
7

Details

7. Details
This field can be edited by any user having the permission to write in the header fields and is a free text field. It can serve any purpose.

Lock

8. Lock
Records can be locked to avoid modifying the record header or fields by mistake.
Any user having write privilege on the record can lock and unlock it. This functionality is independent from the record privileges.
A small Locker icon is displayed when a record is locked.
To lock/unlock a record, click on the corresponding icons on top of the BioSheet.
If a record is locked, the two first branches of the right tree are tagged with the same Locker icon.
The locking capability is also available for the target records.
Note that for the importation tool, no data will be imported into locked records.
