Field types

See also movies on how to add specific field types to a table: BioloMICS: Create a new field Advanced

The field type is an important concept that will decide about the type and therefore about the properties of the field.

For the ease, we have groups the types into 3 categories: Administrative, Analysis and Other.

For most of the types, a link version is available too.

The following field types can be created by the BioloMICS software:

Field type

Vector of discrete data (results from [-, +, weak], DNA chips etc.)
Link to vector of discrete data A
Vector of discrete data, 4 possible states each (unknown, variable, absent, present)
Link to vector of discrete data C
Continuous data, single value
Link to continuous data, single value
