Code of field: T

Type of field: single discrete data with four possible states that can be combined.

Storage: one integer value in the range 0…15, as only 4 bits are used.

Applicable to:

Any data that can be reduced to a simple discrete value such as "presence/absence" or "yes/no".

Comments:

T characters format has been created to handle simple discrete characters having maximum 4 main states (1, 2, 4 and 8, see figure below) and 12 intermediate states (0, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 - in blue, see figure below).
